Opinion: Britain is a typical example of not knowing what they want

By Xuefei Chen Axelsson

Looking at the opposition’s shouting in the parliament and the shaking of head of May,  I asked democracy was just shouting at each other?

I think May was very clear and calm while the opposition was mad.

What does British people really want? It is very hard to say.

I went to Britain and found that people play with python snake or rare species in Africa or other countries in southern hemisphere.  Why? Because Britain is so rich that they don’t know what to do and what to want.  On the other hand, they couldn’t have as much cash as they want, so they have problem of liquidity too.

And that is the problem of capital world. When there is no capital in capital world, there will be problems. People likes to put money just into stocks so that they will feel secure all over their life without working so hard. And that is totally against the law of development.

Thus the solution for Britain is to either return to EU or negotiate with all the individual members.  Then it will be a long process to be normal.

China expects broader education cooperation with Britain

Stockholm, Oct. 18 (Greenpost) — China’s Minister of Education Yuan Guiren on Friday praised the progress of education cooperation with Britain and called for more.
Britain is a major destination for Chinese students studying abroad and the number of British students who come to China has increased steadily, said Yuan, in an interview with Xinhua ahead of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Britain next week.
Last year, Chinese government sponsored 2,400 students studying in Britain and 224 British students in China. By the end of 2014, a total of 150,000 Chinese had studied in Britain. In 2014, more than 6,000 British students came to China, a notable increase from previous years.
“Increasing exchanges between young people of China and Britain not only open more opportunities for their personal development but also inject energy into the relationship in the long run,” he said.
Cooperation between universities has also picked up, with Chinese and British universities jointly setting up 17 institutions and 240 programs in China.
In September, the Beijing Normal University and Cardiff University opened a college for Chinese studies in Cardiff. Britain also has the largest number of Confucius Institutes in Europe. Since 2004, education ministers of the two countries have met regularly.  Enditem

Sino-British entrepreneurs bullish on bilateral ties amid China’s “new normal”

Sino-British entrepreneurs bullish on bilateral ties amid China’s “new normal”

Stockholm, June 4(Greenpost) — Both Chinese and British entrepreneurs are bullish on the Chinese market and bilateral collaboration in industries such as retail, healthcare and care-giving to senior citizens.

Addressing the 4th UK-China CEO dialogue on Tuesday, Zhu Xinli, chairman of China’s juice producer Huiyuan Group, said entrepreneurs both from China and Britain should regard China’s economic restructuring and growth slowdown as an opportunity, rather than merely an arduous process.

In the context of so-called “new normal” in China, entrepreneurs’ status is set to rise, as well as the expectations and encouragement from the society. Besides, more opportunities will emerge during and after the restructuring, he added.

Tom Troubridge, chairman of the China Business Group of PwC UK, said although the Chinese economic growth has slowed down, it is still much higher than all major advanced economies. In history, no country could keep growing at a high rate forever.

“If we take the economic scale of China into consideration, in a longer term, a 3 percent growth also indicates a large GDP increment,” he added.

He noted that currently there are 725 million urban residents in China, with an urbanization rate passing 50 percent. With urban residents looking set to number over 1 billion, the process of China’s urbanization not only benefits the country’s real estate industry, but also boosts the market of retail, education, healthcare and environmental protection.

Troubridge said he expected that there will be more acquisition activities of British brands by Chinese companies in the future, boosted by the growing demand of increased consumption of China’s expanding middle class.

Gordon Johncox, managing director of British cider producer Aston Manor, said he was optimistic on China’s cider market, as China is the largest beer consumption market and the largest apple juice consumer. Enditem
