STOCKHOLM, Oct.27(SCBR)–TEDxStockholm 2013 – Uncharted Waters, Navigating the Unknown has recently been held in Stockholm.
The first famous speaker was Lena Maria, who was born armless. With a great efforts from her parents and society, she was trained to swim and won a lot of gold medals including the Olympic medals.

She can write with mouth and drive with feet. She can do anything herself and be independent. So her story is very inspiring.
SCBR will put part of her speech online as soon as possible.
WHY TEDXSTOCKHOLM?
Because Stockholm is blessed with a strong creative and innovative mindset -the Stockholm mindset. Today, however, the city is lacking an interdisciplinary and open forum where people can meet and ideas worth spreading can evolve. There is also a lack of insight in the true value and potential of the Stockholm mindset. TEDxStockholm is a way of creating such a forum and spreading this insight.
The purpose of the event is to further promote the innovative and transparent nature of the Stockholm mindset. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED – like experience.
TEDx is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences – the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer – TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.

TEDx is like an open classroom for anyone who likes to learn.
